Civil Aviation Minister of India, Jyotiraditya Scindia launched eGCA. It is the e-governance platform of Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The online platform is supplying 297 services including pilot licensing and medical examination. The project has been planned to shift restrictive regulation to constructive collaboration by eliminating operational inefficiencies, minimising personal interaction, improving regulatory reporting, enhancing transparency and increasing productivity.
The e-platform also provides end-to-end solutions for various software applications and is connected to all the regional offices of India. It is a portal for dissemination of information and gives secured online and speedy service delivery. This project would enhance the efficiency of the various services provided by the DGCA and would ensure transparency and accountability in all DGCA functions.
The Civil Aviation Minister also unveiled a case study which was about DGCA’s journey through the implementation of eGCA. The Ministry of Aviation called it a step to do business at ease.
