Innovative Solutions of Canada launched a new challenge led by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to help Canadian small businesses succeed. The RCMP is facing challenges in accessing encrypted data seized by hackers. Hackers have been using sophisticated encryption techniques to bypass legal prosecution. They are looking for an artificial intelligence decryption system that can process the seized data files and generate specific word lists to try and access the encrypted material.
Through the Innovative Solutions Program, government departments would invite small businesses to come up with a new innovative product, service or solution that answers the challenges they face. There are hundreds of programs and services in Innovative Solutions that offer everything from funding to advice by experts in order to help businesses innovate, create jobs and grow Canada’s economy.
