Saint Lucia Launches Digital Vaccination Certificate

In collaboration with the Division of Public Sector Modernization, the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs rolled out Saint Lucia’s COVID-19 Digital Vaccination Certificate Programme on 28th December, 2021. This digital certificate can be stored on a person’s digital devices like mobile phones and tablets.

All the fully vaccinated people or those who have received either their first or second dose in Saint Lucia can apply for the digital vaccination certificate from digiGov, the Government of Saint Lucia’s Digital Government Integrated Services Platform. The Ministry of Health will continue to inform the applicants on the application process by airing public service announcements via traditional and social media.

The individuals applying for the digital certificate must have a digital copy of a recent photo, vaccine card (front and back), proof of ID used at the point of vaccination (front and back), and valid mobile phone and email address.

The COVID-19 digital vaccination certificate issued by the digiGov platform will be considered an official national COVID-19 Certificate. It will eventually replace the previously issued paper-based vaccination card given during vaccination. This will allow businesses and institutions to easily verify the vaccination status of individuals to travel or use facilities that require proof of vaccination.
