Green Economy New Brunswick Receives Funding

On 20th January 2022, Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Minister of Languages and Minister responsible for Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), announced a non-refundable contribution of $267,554 to recently launched Green Economy New Brunswick. This funding is provided through ACOA’s Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI).

With ACOA, the government of New Brunswick and the City of Moncton are contributing $267,553 and $30,000, respectively. This contribution will help with Green Economy New Brunswick’s aim to recruit 30 businesses in rural and urban settings to create reduction plans to lower greenhouse emissions.

New Brunswick is the first Green Economy Hub outside Ontario. Green Economy will help organizations set, achieve and integrate sustainability goals while maximizing the benefits of taking climate action.
