Colorado Cyber Range to Help Local Government and Schools Hone Cybersecurity Skills

Colorado officials cut the virtual ribbon on the Colorado Cyber Range, an online program dedicated to increasing the state's cybersecurity skills and encouraging K-12 students to pursue careers in cybersecurity. The range will prove to be an easy way for local governments to train their IT staff to reduce and identify threats.

The Colorado Cyber Range offers classes for both K-12 students and adults. For IT professionals, classes can lead to certification. They can use the range to develop their existing skills and gain expertise in fields like security operations, secure coding, DevSecOps, penetration testing, and more.

This program was first announced as part of the Colorado Cyber Resource Center in January by the National Cybersecurity Center. It is designed to help local governments, school districts, and critical infrastructure organizations build a more secure future.

Colorado Cyber Resource Center is partnering with RangeForce to provide virtual classes. Students can participate for free, and adults in local government, private business, or non-profit organizations can get an annual license for $250.
