Vietnam is focusing on the development of 6G currently under development for wireless communication technologies in 2022. In a press conference, Minister of Information and Communication Nguyen Manh Hung said that it's high time the country gets ahead of the development curve and strengthens its digital infrastructure with emphasis on Cloud Computing, Digital Platform, and As Service.
The minister added that to become one of the World's leading nations in digitalization and meet the demand of skilled workers in the field, Vietnam has to quickly develop its digital infrastructure and technologies with a vision for the future development of the technology. He also insisted on the importance of developing Cloud Computing and Digital Platform, two of the fastest-growing fields.
The telecommunication sector must address a series of long-time issues such as bonus SIM rampant advert calls and messages before it can further develop into a useful platform for the country's digital economy.
Digital infrastructure is amongst the highest priority for the government, which has set a target for itself to be among the top 30 nations with the most advanced and robust digital infrastructure by 2025.
